Geolinguistic

Psychedelic Jelly

2018

Geolinguistic was my first full-length album, written between 2015 and 2018. It represents a departure from Artifact moving towards a more psybreaks and psytrance sound. Much of the album was written on a Novation Bass Station II, an analogue recreation of a classic 1990s monosynth.

The album has a sci-fi theme with particular inspiration from Ursula Le Guin and Octavia Butler. It also has a 'communication' concept and a sort of story or narrative - although I won't ruin that by explaining it...

The album was released by Psychedelic Jelly, a Bristol-based downtempo psy crew. The artwork was painted by Kat Day, and mastering is by Colin OOOD.
