Messages from the Resonator is a collaboration with psydub producer Globular, written between 2017 and 2019. The album contains psydub, psybreaks, and psybient elements with lots of acoustic instrumentation and a mixture of analogue and digital synthesis.

We began working on the album in summer 2017 after finishing a couple of one-off tracks, including 'Life Sauce' which was an exclusive track for Globular's Patreon supporters. For the next two years we met on a Friday, gradually working our way from a single release to an EP, and then a full LP. During this time we were also reading and discussing lots of sci-fi in the form of books, comics, films, and TV series.

The album was also inspired by previous psychedelic collaborations and one-offs with a particularly warm, analogue sound. Examples include Mystery of the Yeti Parts 1 & 2, Celtic Cross' Hicksville, Ott and Hallucinogen's Hallucinogen in Dub, Warp Technique's Make Animals Happy, and Dub Trees' Nature Never Betrayed the Heart That Loved Her.
